The Sam Maguire visitor centre is located just 60 metres from the houses. The famous Sam Maguire festival is an annual event in Dunmanway and takes place in September.

The birthplace of Michael Collins, one of Irelands must famous historical figures, is just 15 minutes drive, along a visitor centre dedicated to the ‘Big Fellow’.
